Everyday, day after day , thousands of people give up their time to help friends and relatives who rely on them.
Do you look after someone who is ill, frail, disabled or mentally ill. Someone who regularly needs your support?
If the answer is yes then you are a carer
A carer is someone who, without payment, provides help and support to a partner, child, relative, friend, neighbour who could not manage without their help. You may not live with the person you care for and you may be juggling a job and your caring responsibilities.
Whoever you are and whatever the circumstances there are many ways that you could be helped.
Does the surgery know you are a carer?
Caring can have an impact on your own health and wellbeing. To help us to offer you appropriate care for you please let us know you are a carer. Complete the attached form and send it to the surgery or drop it in next time you visit the surgery.
The surgery is proactive in supporting our carers, please see the carers board in reception for information on support available.
